I have been selling on eBay full time for 2 years now using both Selling Manager Pro and Vendio. List about 80 FP items a day and sell about 15-25 items a day.
So far I have only used Vendio as a listing tool to automate my listings with the custom profiles.
Even since I started selling on eBay my method of post sale has just been looking in eBay's Selling Manager Pro "Payments Received" box , I then verify they payment on PayPal, then copy & paste the address into Endicia to print my shipping labels, then mark the item in Selling Manager Pro as shipped.
I get alot of customers that ask me for "tracking numbers" I tell them that I don't have tracking but I have a delivery confirmation number. So then I have to go into Dazzle and find their shipment and copy & paste their DC number and send it to them.
Isn't there an easier way to do this?
It would be so nice if eBays SMP would just allow me to print endicia lables instead of paypal labels and have it send them their deliver confirmation number when I send them their "item shipped" email.
I recently read a book where someone mentioned they use the same 3 things I do but they have vendio automated with endicia.
I haven't set it up yet but I will be after this post.
A few questions I have though. It's my understanding that in order for this to work vendio has to be my post sale management tool. For this to work, vendio will somehow need to be notified that payments are received, how does this happen? Will actions that I select in SMP be sent to vendio? Will actions that I select in vendio be updated to SMP? I would love to be able to just print a label and when I mark the item shipped it somehow attaches the delivery confirmation number and adds it to the email that is sent when the buyer received their "Your item has been shipped" email.
If someone could please help educate me on how to shorten my post sale activities it would be very appreciated. I would love to hear from you that have a very fast and easy post sale system.
[email protected] if someone wants to email me instead of posting here.

If I remember correctly (though Ralphie insists that I'm senile, so, don't hold yer breath), ENDICIA is set up similiar to STAMPS.COM, in that ye can do the following...
When you print a label, there should be a box you can input the BUYER'S email address, plus, there should be a place to make pre-determined email templates...
THUS: when ya PRINT, put the buyer's email address in the appropriate box, and an email (with the DC filled in) will be automatically sent to the buyer!
As Ralphie opines: "Easy-peezy as a barrel full of MONKEY-PORN!"

Oh, so the email address isn't automatically imported into endicia like the buyers address is? and I have to copy & paste it separately?

If you download the addresses from Post Sale it will put the email in Endicia.
Then under Postage Options, there is tab labed: Premium Service Options, where you can edit your email template. And you can indicated it should send the email when you print the postage. If an email address is not available, it indicates that when it tries to send the email.
I too use Sales Mgr Pro on eBay and when I print the postage, insert the DC into the tracking box on their sales page.

So you use the post sale stuff through vendio?
So when you print a label using vendio/endicia, does it send that info to SMP or do you have to mark it as shipped in SMP too?
Do you actually copy & paste the delivery confirmation number from endicia into each sales record on SMP? Theres no way to import that info from endicia? Seams like alot of extra work.

So you force people to use vendio checkout? does that discourage people? I mean, not everyone knows who vendio is. Do people find a way around it and still checkout through eBay or is that not possible? If people use vendio's checkout, will it get updates as paid in SMP?

I use Vendio checkout with redirect from ebay. That way the customer cannot circumvent the checkout you have chosen.
I have never had any complaints from a customer. And, I have a healthy repeat business. The only people who seem to complain are those super busy people on this board and the ebay boards. Just block them when you come across them.

I only use Vendio SM pro to download to Endicia and manage my Vendio store items. The information is via Paypal or Vendio store checkout. I do not use checkout redirect.
There is no way I know of to automatically put the dc number in ebay sales mgr.
I think if you print labels with Paypal it might automatically send the dc to the customer.
Yes, it is a lot of extra work. But I keep multiple screens open and just cut and paste away.

Sorry, I do not use SMP. I use SMMIE at this time. I use SMMIE for everything. I type in the DC#. I also use Shipping Assistant to generate my labels. SA sends email to the customer with DC#.
