I know I've seen this type of purse before, but I cannot remember where. I thought maybe someone here might know the approx. age based mainly on the style. The bag is quite heavy. I can't tell if the beads are glass or plastic, but I'm guessing they're glass due to the weight of the bag. I'm having a difficult time because some of the thread used to construct it is cloth or cotton and some is clear and what looks like nylon. There is oddly one blue cobalt bead and a smaller silvery glass bead on one side near the bottom. There is also a smaller bead in the handle. I'm thinking that could be an old repair since they don't match the other beads. Any ideas? Also, would you call this a wrist bag? With the handle it's 14" long. The bag itself is 5-1/2" square.

That's what I'm wondering. I've scoured the internet and can't seem to find anything like it. However, I know I have seen something like it.

that's pretty cheryl... it looks like those little silvered glass 'tube' beads of yore. ... i'd say roaring twenties. ...

The thread is not nylon, but looks like it was coated with something maybe to make it stronger with the glass. I have since found out that the odd beads are deliberate because only God is perfect. Interesting.
