Just curious, but what has been your most watched, most viewed auction?
I have 53 watchers and 782 page views on an item right now. I can't remember having something with those numbers... especially in summer. Unfortunately, there have been only 3 bids so far... but it ends tomorrow.

The most I ever had was 58 (over 1000 hits)and it sold for $1200 - so good luck. It was a mid century modern chair. That was back in the good old days. These days 15 watchers is high for me.

I am with blueyes on this one. I was excited once when I had 13 watchers but I ended with NO bids.
I re-listed at the same price and no changes to the listing at all...I had NO watchers and someone sniped for opening bid in the last few seconds!

I have a feeling this may not sell (I have a reserve on it) and it hasn't been met yet (with the exception of the idiot who bid on it purposely to reveal the reserve and then retracted his bids). It is a rare amplifier, but I have a feeling the watchers are more about curiousity than anything else.

I had a Bertoia Bird Chair & Ottoman. The funny thing was that I had sold it the year before for $500 and the guy never sent me the money. I don't know why I waited another year to list it but my timing was very good.

I've had a few of the Bertoia Diamond chairs, but no birds or their ottomans. That is a great story. MCM collectibles have skyrocketed so much in the last 2 years. Stuff I sold for a $100 a few years ago are now going for $300-500 depending on what it is. That is the local retail market though. I don't mess with furniture on ebay. I hate shipping large pieces.

I don't mind chairs, small table & such. Really large items I leave to the professionals - I love that. You just call them and they come pick it up, pack and ship it. People are willing to pay for the right item and believe me professional shipper aren't cheap.
I shipped the bird chair myself but I don't think I could today as DHL won't handle such a large item anymore.
Speaking of watchers my very best sale ever only had two watchers and sold for $4,000.00 - that was this year. I'll take that any day over ton of hits and watchers.
