freaky! shipping time(12-month) actually showed 4.1 from a 4.6 on my seller dashboard --- BUT when pulling up the DSR under your feedback score.... it showed 4.6. The part I didn't understand was that the 12-month average for EBAY was 4.2.
Get on the LIVE CHAT to "female dog" and POOF... everything goes back to the way it was originally???? Screen shot all of them before they vanished.
Better list as much as possible tonight....buy.com may be the only one listing tomorrow!
oops...foul language had to be editted

in english, do you or do you not have a 4.1? I am confused. And how the heck can you have a 4.1 in the 12month rating if your 30 day rating is not much worse than 4.1?

It switched when I was talking with ebay live help....my 12 month showed much lower then my 30 day....in the past week, it hasn't changed at all and that is also with numerous "FAST SHIPPING" feedbacks.
I did a screen shot of it showing 4.1 for mine and ebays 4.2(12-month) ...then refreshed and they were back to the 4.61 and 4.62
with our US Dollar dropping so much, overseas orders have increased, but with those you have the longer shipping times also.FAST SHIPPING DSRs are most likely to take a hit.
There is NO way to figure the DSRs from our end, we don't even know when a buyer just leaves feedback and doesn't fill in the STARS how they are counted(probably shipped to Florida for a recount).
If I really wanted to follow through with this crap, I would set up test IDs and buy&sell only to myself, leaving specific DSRs and document them...That way I would know EXACTLY the games are being played.
I will just keep watching the daily % decrease in the stock....$15.01...think that was a "discount" I got when they first started these DSRs
tomorrow...between the election and ebays 4.1-4.3 rule...it is gonna be an interesting day
Item as described 4.8 Middle 50% 1562
Communication 4.7 Middle 50% 1551
Shipping time 4.6 Middle 50% 1557
S&H charges 4.7 Middle 50% 1557

I certainly understand your frustration with DSRs. Yours actually look good compared to many of the others.
I am surprised there is not a class action yet on the whole DSR tied to discounts/listing ability thing. If ebay wants to tie DSR to fees they should have to fully disclose when the rating is posted by the buyer and what each individual DSR was.
The DSR system is just plain wrong on so many counts.

I also get my shipping time slammed because I live in Canada, and mostly ship to the US, and small packages can take up to 3 weeks. I do warn buyers about that. I realize that actually, buyers are rating the postal service, not me. My husband mails every day for me. I think I am going to add yet another message to my payment reply saying that.

I'm in Florida and ship alot of 1st class to Calif - 99% of the time ship the same day. I would drop 1st class and go for priority only but then I'd just get lowered on shipping cost. Can't ebay see that this is just unfair to some sellers regardless of what they do.
LtRay I am surprised there is not class act as well. The point that I really don't get is that if there is nothing a seller can do to stop a buyer from leaving bad DSR's - why does it need to be such a serect. As others have said how can this be a learning tool with so much data missing.

Under $10 transaction;
Item paid through Paypal
Status:
Uncleared (Expected Clearing Date: Nov. 10, 2008)
Note: eChecks work like paper checks and take your bank several business days to process.
email from buyer;
Hi...I have sent payment via paypal. If it is at all possible, please
send the item quickly. It may sound silly but this item has
tremendous sentimental value and is a gift. Thank you in advance
for your effort to send quickly.
SEND THE ITEM NOW, and hope for good DSRs....or hold it and take the chance of dings?

Send now - it's a known PayPal glitch and not the buyer's fault. For under $10 I wouldn't hesitate to ship before payment.

it is on its way...
Paypal has the "glitch" again with the MISSING payment notifications again....past week I had 5 payments that I NEVER was notified about. Either have to review Paypal daily or bring up auctions..
