Does anyone know what happened to a former EO poster - not sure what her exact user name was - something like bizzycrocheting - her real name was Diane and I kind of remember no1avonlady as a user name on ebay but that isn't it.* I found her vendio name by looking at old threads but can't find her ebay user id.
Or maybe someone else can help - I've lost a favorite pattern and I am not sure what to look for. It was a really cool pattern for a potholder that was double thickness and started in a corner (I think - I just remember it started out so weird it was hard to visualize how it would come together in the end) - I'd post a picture of one I made years ago but it's so grungy! I'll try washing it and see if it's fit to post.

I figured out her ebay name. I remembered she and Fluff pushed me over the 10,000 FB so once I figured out when it was that Fluff bought a postcard (August 2, 2005), then I found Diane's sale right after it in my Vendio postsale. But Diane is NARU with no sales to speak of since August 2007! Could it really have been so long? Hope all is well with her.

I really miss Diane. She used to contribute quite a bit. We both sold craft patterns, although hers were mostly crochet, and mine are mostly knitted. I often wonder what happened to her, I check her user ID every once in a while, but there is nothing sold like you say for a couple of years.

Neglus, I sent you email with the information I have on Diane.
Also of note is this chorus of ignorant self-righteous harpies dumping on bizzycrocheting:

It's not illegal to sell things you get for free or to sell something on eBay that is available free elsewhere. It isn't against eBay rules, and it isn't even unethical. Talk about a bunch of biddies getting their support hose knotted up over nothing.
I doubt this is the cause of Diane's NARU since it happened two years previously.

Is this what you were looking for?

I have tons of bookmarks saved for crochet patterns (don't sell patterns, just love to crochet) so if it isn't the one you were hunting I probably know how to find it or have it and can send you a copy.

That's a shame about busy crocheting. I personally prefer to buy a single pattern rather than a book for just one and having to pay the shipping on a whole book.

I sell from Canada, and I have sold thousands of patterns taken from magazines and books. I have only ever had ONE problem, and the buyer removed the neg when I asked her to read the listing again. A heavy magazine, full of advertising can cost almost $11 to mail to the US, and people just don't want to pay that. Also, I often buy a book or magazine, only to find when I get home that someone has torn pages out of it, so I can't sell it as complete. I have many buyers who are very happy to buy just the patterns, and like Diane, I have sold them for years. For those who prefer the whole book, I sell those also.

Wow. Fluffy's right: a bunch of self-righteous harpies. Poor Diane. Could somebody post how she is these days?

That's not quite the one. I did find a similar one at Annie's Attic but mine uses two strands of yarn at once and has fewer rows - I remember it starts with a circle (like a Granny Square) but nothing after that. Here's the one at Annie's Attic:

Fluff - they were biddies!

None of my crochet sites has that type pattern. I'll still keep my eye out for it though as I go through my books while re-organizing my book shelves.
Maybe you'll find it before then. I'm kind of slow because I keep stopping to look through the books again. lol
I literally have hundreds dating back to the 1950s.

That would be great Linda. Now that the kids are too old to make the loop/loom potholders (and have been too old for many years) I think just about everyone in my family could use some fresh heavy duty pot holders for xmas.
I think the pattern came with some afghan patterns. I made an afghan or two and then decided to try the potholder to see if my daughter could do it when she was a teenager. I think I gave her the pattern and now she is in Kazakhstan and probably has no idea what she's done with it. I swear I have never had a better potholder!

Do you have any idea what that kind of design might be called ?

No, I've never made one like that. I love the ones that fold into themselves (like the link). They are super heavy duty and I use them for everything. The heat doesn't make it through.
I use a varigated yarn so it doesn't look so blah.
I'm clearing out the storage and donating things I know will no longer sell on ebay. So, I should come to more boxes of patterns any day now. I'll keep you posted if I find anything similar to that pattern.
