I just got an email from a customer complaining that they are unable to use an ebay 15% coupon on one of my ebay auctions that they won. They say that the coupon states "Purchases made through any customized check out system and/or eBay Live Auctions are excluded". Is there a way to turn off the check out system for this one auction now that it has already closed so I can just send them an ebay invoice and bypass Vendio, or is there another way so I can make sure my customer can still use this coupon? Thanks in advance for your help!
Buyers should be able to use the coupon no matter where they checkout, as long as they are paying with PayPal.
Once they go to pay at PayPal and when prompted, enter the redemption code on the face of the coupon. If they received a cash back offer, no redemption code is needed.
From the eBay doc's on coupons:
"What should I do if I am purchasing from a seller who does accept PayPal but I don't see a place to enter my redemption code?"
"This occurs very rarely. However, if you are certain the seller accepts PayPal, login to your account, use "Send Money for an eBay Item" and enter the coupon code there."
As for allowing someone to checkout from eBay for one item, you would need to disable your Checkout Redirect setting in your Post Sale Management settings (found via the My Account page) as this setting is global and would have to be disabled at the time the buyer was attempting to complete the checkout process. (but they should be able to checkout anywhere and still use the coupon)
