To build feedback, and draw attention to his other items (watches, etc).

Surely they have to be getting email addresses for other reasons other than selling on eBay. They sell Internationally, and the postage even on letter mail, plus Paypal payments must mean they are doing it for some reason.

Seems pretty weird to me. If I, for fun, bought a rubber band for a penny. I would not bother leaving feedback for such a stupid transaction.

Plus, a penny for a rubber band is really no bargain.

Call me cynical but I think he has a gazillion id's and is buying his own rubber bands and leaving immediate feedback. Is he building up FB and stars so he can get PS discount and improve search standing and whatever else when he lists his regular stuff?

Neglus - I agree with you. No one is going to buy a rubber band on eBay unless it's a famously haunted one or something of that sort. I have a drawer full of those things that I paid nothing for. My mail comes wrapped in them. Looks like a lot of his buyers are in the US as well. I can get a whole box of them for less than 50 cents at the dollar store if I need them.

It cost him well over $1.00 for each feedback. His eBay and PayPal fees plus postage from Hong Kong. An under 1 ounce letter is .94 cents to Hong Kong.

Wouldn't cost him a thing to ship to himself (using various ids) Look at the FB - no way a rubber band can travel from HK to US the same day as sold

We could all buy one and not like it and leave negative feedback for item not as described.

I don't believe that he even ships them!

Even his watches he is starting at 1 and 2 cents. There is something really stange about the whole thing. If you look at his first 200 feedbacks, most of them are in a foreign language, too much of a coincidence.

is that invisible ink on the wall???

wasn't there a similiar incident several months ago when all of a sudden total auction counts seemed to increase far more then the norm during a sale.

I don't see a minnow in the water...I see something far larger...but that is only my opinion.

I wonder if he even pays through PayPal - or if he does, refunds afterwards? Don't ship, don't pay - Feedback price gets quite a bit lower!

It is called feedback manipulation. The buyers do not want his rubberband. They are buying to kick up their own feedback and to bury their own negs.

Every one of them needs to be reported but who has the time? and if you did have the time, who has the desire to do ebay's dirty work for free anymore?

How does his paypal account balance look like?
you send him one penny and paypal deducts 30 cents from it and debit his account 29 cents?
BTW,shipping charge for his watch is over 15 dollars.

Also a way to collect email address.

If you send him a penny, his paypal fee is a penny.

Looking over some of this guys bidders most have purchased more than 1 of these .01 cent rubber bands from multiple sellers all from China. Many are now unregistered users. Looks like some type of scam.

Just yesterday he received over 30 feedbacks from one 'Buyer'.

Surely eBay should be trying to stop this rather than hassle US about DSR's!

so he is spending his precious US dollars to build his feedback!
Is it worth the $$,his other items do not sell that well.
