I am copying this from the Seller Central Board....AMAZING!
"I was reading some of the earlier threads on here and saw sellers talking about all the scams, how they want to leave, etc.
This is my posting ID but I was on here selling the last two Christmases. I am selling this Christmas but the amount of scams is amazing! To top it off what I notice is once I get hit with a new scam before you know it everyone is doing it.
Me and my wife have always talked about how these people must have a place on the internet they talk about it and these scams go around. They seem to go in cycles. One thing that happened to us is I sell DVD's on eBay. Well in the last few months I am having a lot of people writing saying their DVD doesn't work, they want to return it. Well I only exchange for items of the same type. Well sure enough they return it but it works fine for me. I think many times they simply want their money back and have already watched the movie or copied it. If they get a brand new sealed replacement for me then they can sell it as brand new, sealed!
Well tonight I get the big SURPRISE. I'm not sure if anyone on here has seen it but I was wondering where these people must talk about scams and guess what, I did a good search on How to Scam an ebay seller and 5 places down I get a link that tells about a book that explains how to do it and this book was just published in late August. On top of it I went to the website of a well known online bookstore starting with an A and pulled it up and they sell it! The name is The Great Big EBay Con.
Simply go there and do a search on it and you'll see what I mean. On top of it it's one of those books that you can"Click to look inside". Give that a try. I looked at the index and all the scams mostly sounded familiar that were listed and of course one was called 'eBay's DVD rental service".
I am shocked Amazon sells this. It's published in the UK but maybe their idea is that it's not illegal to sell, just to use. I know eBay won't care about it but I am contacting Amazon tonight with a letter. I hope we can get this book removed from Amazon. I would not be shocked if it's being sold on here and I bet those ads won't get pulled "

I wouldn't vote to ban the book. It could be very informative and useful for Ebay sellers who may not recognize or know how to avoid such scams.
