I know more info then anyone needs and a bit personal but Now that my mailing address isn't appearing at checkout I am getting a rash of customers wanting my shipping info so they can send their evil wicked money orders and personal checks.

I am shocked that eBay failed to inform the buyers that they don't want their business unless they use the paperless payment program.

Anybody got ointment?

I tack a nice note on my invoice thanking them for their business and signing it with my name and mailing address.

The timing of this paperless payment thing couldn't be worse. According to news reports, Americans are more and more going to cash only shopping. Credit card companies are lowering spending limits. I don't understand why ebay is so "damn the torpedos, full speed ahead" on this policy.

Look at your PP charges to see the answer.

I understand that Max, but these are extraordinary times. EBay has to overcome its greed to meet the times. What seemed like a good idea in August doesn't seem like a good idea in December. They've rolled back things before - it's time to put this on the back burner . It's not necessary to PayPal's survival nor is it helping the eBay biz. ROLL IT BACK EBAY!

Also the default for PayPal is your bank account. I always change it to a credit card and they try to talk me out of it with a "Do you REALLY want to change" screen.

Thanks Pix! I had not changed my invoice email and it still showed that I accepted mo and checks oh no! The last thing I need is another 3 days off for some stupid payment infraction.

neglus I agree. CC are lowering limits and people are moving to cash. eBay has been out of touch with sellers now it’s the buyers.

So were does that leave us the sellers? How many sales are being lost because buyers see only PayPal as a payment option? I foresee many buyers leaving eBay because they don't have nor want to use PayPal or credit cards.

In the message I send with the buyer's invoice, I sign it with my name and mailing address. There are many who do not want to use PayPal, and if they ask if they can send a check or m.o., I say yes. That's not against eBay's rules.
