I just listed a bunch of items this week and noticed that some of the bids were from Taiwan and now one closed for someone in Australia. My default settings on Vendio show I only ship to USA, Canada, and the UK... but the auctions launched with "worldwide shipping".

This ebay account is not a powerseller account, so I don't have full International shipping coverage... and I know I am going to have a problem with these International bidders.

Did I miss something? Did ebay change the rules on where I can and cannot ship? I know I'm pretty much forced into taking Paypal now, and cannot offer other methods.

I find it odd that this happened this week, and I double checked my ebay settings on my vendio account to make sure nothing was changed there.

Has ebay/paypal started providing seller protection for non-powersellers to anywhere in the world?

After further investigation, it seems this only affected the few new auctions I listed, and not the relisted items.

I use SMPro to launch auctions, and I think I didn't synchronize my images before creating my listings... but I have never had that affect my settings before, so I'm not sure if that was the problem or not.

Of the 5 "new" auctions I listed, 3 of them have International bids outside of the USA, Canada, and the UK... and I can't edit the settings now that they have bids.

My auction policies state that I only ship to confirmed addresses... which can only be to those countries noted above. Ugh!!!

Could you cancel the bids and then revise the auctions?

didn't work. i cancelled the bids, and could only add text explaining my International Policy.

what is frustrating is that I will ship Worldwide... I just won't accept Paypal unless I have Seller Protection. Gotta love the black hole that ebay has created.
