If I'm registered on e-bay and not a guest, does anyone know a reason why my Watch List would be limited to 9 items? When I try to list another, I get a msg saying I've reached "my limit".

Am I mistaken, or does this limit the number of pending snipes you can have? Does putting a snipe on an auction automatically put it on your watch list?

I was kidding deichen. I just checked my watch list and added 15 items with no problem. I have been keeping it empty since the new changes had gone into effect.

Hearing that Shopchicly's watch list is not working correctly is no surprise to me. Half the functions on my new My Ebay page are not working properly. I have gone to the time and trouble to report them but ebay seems to have a "let them eat cake" attitude about the whole mess.

Pixia, your watchlist is not automatically updated if you enter a snipe and I do not think it is updated if you enter a proxy bid. Your current bidding list is updated if you enter a bid with a proxy.

Lt Ray I'm glad I'm not the only one who has taken the time to write to GOD OOPS ebay about the AWFUL new "my ebay" page.

Sellers AND buyers are fed up with the new page and other site issues.

Anyone notice the increase in NPBS and slow pays? It is because buyers are having problems using ebay Checkout. I experienced the problem last week myself.

The eBay boards are full of problem reports but no one at ebay seems to be listening.

no one at ebay seems to be listening.

They're too busy listening to the top 50 (by dollar amount) sellers. Exclusive wine 'em and dine 'em Top Seller meeting in Long Beach last night. You weren't invited nor was I. The usual spin from the usual spindoctors is here:

I wonder what the heck the following comment means:
"We made a pitch to our sellers and are asking them to join us in what is a very high stakes battle to define the future of eCommerce.'

I wasn't there, so I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing that eBay is putting pressure on Top Sellers to cut their prices even further than they have already.

eBay mistakenly believes that pressuring its suppliers/sellers a la WalMart is the way to beat Amazon at its own game.

The problem is that eBay doesn't understand a thing about retailing. Never has.

That's evident in this quote:

"We will have more of these meetings throughout the year. As we have millions of sellers, it is not possible for us to meet with everyone, but it is possible for us to meet with many sellers who represent a good bulk of our inventory, and we think this approach makes the most sense"

Since when does eBay have INVENTORY!????

Adam Nash gave us one of the few glimpses we have into the eBay hivemind with his Eulogy to eBay Express, and this paragraph in particular:

Inventory and merchandising. It may be hard for most people to believe this, but eBay at the time was incredibly under-developed on many of the retail basics of merchandising, inventory selection, and promotion. Why? Well, because eBay.com isn’t actually a retailer of anything. We realized post-launch that we needed to develop that expertise, quickly, even to the point of understanding sourcing, distribution, and product selection. Having 10 million+ products is great, but it’s no good if you don’t have the right products at the right price.

Run that by me again, whose products?

There is a school of thought espoused by Randy Smythe and others that states the best thing eBay can do to ensure success for everyone is to get the heck out of the way of sellers. eBay's still not listening.
