I just set up a blog for my ebay store http://moodymommyspostcardsblog.blogspot.com/ and decided to check to see if it was on Google yet so I googled "Moody Mommy's Marvelous Postcards blog"...was surprised and pleased to see that others have been blogging about my store.

"If Aunt Hildegard desired vintage postcards, I could pore over the amazing selection at the Moody Mommy's Marvelous Postcards website (I am not making this up). And for myself, it's a tragedy that Kentucky Nip can't be found in Memphis, but cases of the delicious elixir are just a mouse-click away on the Internet. "

No wonder I had some nice Tennessee sales!

What a great ad for you! Alot of stores hire professional bloggers to post key word rich articles about their shops all over the internet. It really pays off - it's nice to know your shop is good enough that someone mentioned it for free!

Neglus,

Did you know that Google actually has a search engine that just searches blogs? It's available at:

http://blogsearch.google.com/

It does a much better job of finding keywords on blogs... and I use it all the time to find out who's talking about my site. I recently had a significant uptick in gun ad sales... and realized I had a few people posting about my ads on some gun forums. Can't beat free advertising!

eauctionmgnt: Thanks for the reference to Google Blogsearch. I found a photographer by using it.
