I thought this would be of interest to postcard, vintage photo and antique paper sellers. Keep an eye out for this man.

I found the website while reading some research about brain damage. It would appear photos of Phineas would be of interest to a wide audience of people, from the collectors of the weird and strange to medical researchers.

LtRay,

It is absolutely of interest to those, like me, who don't collect post cards but are interested in neurology and similar. Phineas Gage is one of the few patient names that most of us would recognize.

Hey you found the reason I have not been on eBay Outlook for weeks! When we identified this daguerreotype in our collection it took over our life. When the announcement was made the traffic on our site was so heavy that it shut us down and I had to move everything to a server with more bandwidth.

I am happy to say things are slowing down a bit so I dropped by to see what was happening on the eO.

Hi Photo, I thought the site looked familiar but I could not remember which of the boardies owned it.

Congratulations on the ID.

Your are getting some good web coverage. I followed a link off of Amen's Clinic here: http://www.amenclinics.com/blog/1777/an-incredible-image-of-an-incredible-man/

Yes it is all over the web. I see that your link misplaces us by several states. That mistake came from the LA Times story which was the first published. The best on so far was the Boston Globe. They called us for an interview and got things right.

The Globe article is much better than any of the others I have read.

I can see why his photo is one of your favorites. He smile is enigmatic. Almost makes you wish you knew him and could hear him tell his story.
