I am new to the forum and new to Vendio. I am wondering a couple of things. First, has anyone else had really bad trouble downloading customer transaction info from PayPal lately? Every time I try to do this I get an error that the logs are not available- try later. I use that data for e-mail marketing and not having it is a huge problem for me. Plus, it's MY data.
I am also wondering if any of you could give me an idea of what steered you to Vendio as an e-commerce solution. I am looking at a lot of options, and my biggest frustration is that Vendio fees are obscure. Can some of you old-timers with Vendio give me some idea of what makes the platform efficient for your business?
I run maybe 20 auctions a week on eBay but my eBay sales are consistently dropping while my direct sales are growing like mad. I do not present products to my customers except through my newsletter. I am sure I could benefit from an online store. Can anyone else share how you tie together e-mail marketing, eBay, and your Vendio store? For example, do your auctions have a way to grab eBay traffic and send it to a Vendio listing? Are there HTML banner ads or buttons or widgets for Wordpress that I could use for my blog to send people to my Vendio storefront?
Right now eBay and PayPal together are taking about a 12% bite out of my picnic. I understand that this varies with your specific sales structure, but what could I expect with a Vendio storefront? Also, does Vendio send me customers in some fashion?
Sorry that was a whirlwind. Pick any one question if you want to simplify and answer that. My biggest concern is efficiency. I need a solution that is intuitive, and I need SUPPORT. Thanks a million for any info that you might have for me.

I have used Vendio for years, even when it was called Auction Watch.
I find it easy to launch my auctions with the convenience of scheduling them at optimal times. I also have templates set up so that I am entering minimal information, and even then most of the entering is copy/paste.
I own my own retail store, so my time and focus is truly on that, but I have set up my free vendio store and have it linked directly into my website. Customers don't really notice the change to the site, and my checkout is handled in Vendio and then Paypal. It is relatively easy to use and set up. I find it limiting in information I can supply my customers (example is limited characters and space allowed on the front page, etc.). It works for me, but I am not selling much on their b/c I can't handle the work load if I had to take on too much. Plus I sell unique/vintage items... so a store for me is tedious (at least for the time being). My goal by next Christmas is to have a full scale website online and sell everything through there. I plan to close my store so that the time spent there and overhead is eliminated.

If you list 20 items on Ebay each week and sales is dropping, then you dont really need Vendio for your Ebay sales.
But if Vendio setup can help you sell more on your own website, then it may be worth your while to look into Vendio?
It is tough to sell jewelry on Ebay, too much competition!
Amazon is a good place to sell jewelry, what kind of jewelry do you sell?It is considered one of its guarded categories but there are ways to get around it.

I like Vendio but have always found their fees extremely confusing and obscure. I still don't entirely understand them but they are less than I feared. I wish they would simplify their fee structure (without raising it).

We used to have a store called Video Joe which rents movies (DVD and tapes) and the fee is confusing and obscure.
You dont get a receipt of what is being charged,it is all kept on a machine only the owner can access.
Of course with the kiosk inside Kroger and the Red box rental outside Walgreen and the Netflix,it went under.

Vendio still works great for me as well and their support is wonderful. I don't have a Vendio store anymore as it didn't work well for me.
