As I do most every monday morning (after a cup or two of coffee) I begin preparing shipping items purchased Sunday night.

I printed my first label, and now Paypal's shipping system is down. It's been down for at least 30 minutes now. I tried to use it through ebay, same thing.

How does this figure into a sellers DSRs when we can't ship using their system. I always prepare packages in the morning, as our pick up is before 10am.

Too much control over sellers, and yet they can't keep things running on their end to make it smooth for us.

Hopefully this won't be a regular issue during the holiday season.

I have been printing labels all morning since 7:30 central time,no problem my end.
You can use USPS site to print as a backup.

As of 8:35am PST, this is the message:

"PayPal Shipping is not available. We apologize for the inconvenience."

I must be on a Paypal server that isn't operating properly. I don't care to go to USPS and use their site. It is too tedious and slow.

I got this message last night from a UK buyer.
"Hi, my paypal is telling me I've 'hit a speed bump' (whatever that means) and is asking me to try again later."

Both problems are pretty common and reported on the seller's bds.

Shagi, log out of PP and clear your cache and cookies and try again. That usually clears it up for me.

Amber, your buyer maybe using a browser that just won't work with ebay or they have their security setting set to Medim-High or High.

I have not been able to use ebay checkout for the last year on my business laptop because I am running Vista with IE and refuse to lower my security settings just to get ebay checkout to work. When I make ebay purchases, I either pay directly from PayPal or use my XP machine for ebay checkout.

Tell your buyer to log into Paypal -> click the SEND MONEY tab -> Pay for EBAY Purchases.

11:55am PST

Cleared cache, cookies, browsing history, etc.

Signed onto Paypal, same message. First time this has happened in a very long time. Odd that I printed the first label w/no problem. As soon as I got to the 2nd one, i started gettting that message.

I'm going to call them right now and see what is going on.

Ok, I didn't call, but skipped the one package and went on to the next one. That worked fine, as did the others... except the one.

I checked the payment info, and it is an APO address, but is confirmed and eligible for seller protection. I am going to call PP about it, as it is unusual this would happen.

Tried to use the "contact us by phone" link and got a server error message. I can email them re: the problem, but I never have any faith in emails from ebay or paypal any longer. They always send some vague message that has nothing to do with the problem you are inquiring about.

Very strange Shagi, that usually works for me. Maybe they heard about you sending your lamp to the auction house and have decided to not let you play with them

Labels have been printing fine here all day in NW Florida. I use the PP Multi-ship manager and do not go through ebay to print my labels.
