I just saw a link to this posted on the EBay Boards.

What I don't understand when they have major outages which in reality do not happen too often is why they bury all the Announcements on the Systems Announcements Board.
Why would they not wipe everything else off their Homepage and put a big 'Alert' notice there for the duration. I have friends who sell but never visit the Community pages and don't know where to look for info. They were e-mailing me asking if I knew what the problem was.
I guess that following through in a logical order to handle problems is not EBay's strong suit so I shouldn't be surprised but they would maybe garner a little sympathy instead of outrage.
Someone also received notice that there would be a 50% listing sale starting today and this morning received a Notice cancelling it!
