Q: may i have half off this postcard for christmas?
A: I asked my landlord if I could pay only half rent this Christmas and he said no. I asked the electric company and the cable company if they would reduce their rates by half this Christmas, they said no. I asked my son if I could reduce his Christmas present by half this year, he said no. Alas, my answer has to be NO.
