This bidder buys two exact same items via BIN... about 7 minutes apart.
Ebay sends after auction info, I send invoice... no response. Wait, wait, wait.
File NPB complaint. Bidder responds:
"I have two orders for item XX I would like cancelled. I will not accept PayPals terms for verification. One of the orders is a duplicate. Thanks for your cooperation with this and I apologize for any inconvience."
I respond, "Hello. We can arrange another method for payment since you do not want to use Paypal. If you wish to pay for the one jersey still we can make payment arrangements, otherwise I will notify eBay that you declined payment so that I can receive a refund for the fees I was charged when you agreed to purchase the item. Let me know what you choose to do."
Response from Bidder: "I apologize for any inconvenience caused, but I am asking you to cancel both orders. The Paypal conditions are unacceptable and I have received no cooperation from Ebay and am closing the account. I will know longer do business with Ebay. The biggest shame is this was the perfect Christmas present for my son."
First of all, a duplicate??? How can you have a duplicate when you buy them 7 minutes apart? How is that accidental? Second, where is the bidders responsiblity to contact the seller if there is a problem???
What irritates me is that the bidder agreed to the terms of the auction. My payment method is Paypal. Then they buy it now with two items, and supposedly they are mad at ebay/paypal so they won't pay me for one item. All the while, I am charged the fees and have to jump through the hoops of requesting only a partial refund. Nice to be in the middle of a bidder and ebay/paypal rules.

It could be a computer glitch on his end,may be he did not get confirmation he bidded on the first item.
I know sometimes I double listed an item thinking the first listing did not go through/
Anyway,he said he is not going to do business with Ebay anymore and want to close his Ebay account, then you will have to file for FVF refund, either way,he is wasting your time.
Try to send him a Google invoice and see if he will pay.

I think it is nothing more than an excuse out. He/She could have easily sent a money order... they could have contacted me that they received two invoices or were having problems with paypal and/or ebay. they did nothing until i filed the dispute.
From their messages, it sounds like they have a problem with the whole system... including making payment of any kind.

Isn't there a ceiling on the number of transactions you can do through PayPal using your CC without registering your bank account with them? It was very long ago, but I remember getting ticked because I couldn't pay for an item until they verified my bank info.

Seriously, I've just gone through my own eBay/PayPal nightmare with 4 customer service reps who had no clue of where their suggestions would land me. The most unimaginable poor customer service experience - I can easily believe that a buyer would leave eBay after such an occurrence. Unbelievable for a corporation of this size.

I agree about Paypal/Ebay experience, however this bidder had only one transaction from about a year ago. There were obviously changes made, what I don't know b/c eBay and Paypal are in this "obscure" rules mode where everything is up for interpretation... what is good for one person isn't for another. However, I did suggest to the bidder to use a different method since he didn't want to use Paypal and he declined.
I'm not wasting more time on him, just waiting to close the claims. If he doesn't close his account, maybe eBay will for him.
