With Christmas coming next week, will you be listing in anticipation of buyers spending big bucks with eBay dollars? Or do you think it will be a bust week?

I can't decide. I have sold a big fat 0 on my main ID and one item on my second ID all month.
It's hard to keep listing when you have this type of results.

My last auctions of the year end today with poor results. As my auctions have ended I have been just putting them into my Store.
I am going to keep listing a few fixed price items daily but no more auctions for the time being.
I usually launch auctions on Boxing Day but this year has had a whole different feel about it. It is a great big unknown!
The majority of our sales in the past month have been to overseas and in some Countries we have never mailed to before.

I agree with your otteropp, my sales last week were dismal, thankfully some were from the free listing. On the other hand, I have had quite a few sales from my store, so I am putting most of my items in there, the only drawback is the high fvf's.
I wonder if there will be a cheap listing day after Christmas this year? It always used to be a "free listing day", but I suspect they have gone forever.
Like you, I have had sales from all over the world, Poland, Japan, Indonesia, and today Tinian MP, which I have never heard of. It has a US postal code, so I am hoping it is US postage from Canada.

I will take next week off and probably the one after that. For one reason I have to work 40 hours at my 'part time' job that I share so my counterpart can go to Hawaii for 2 weeks, and the other reason, sales last year for those two weeks were pretty lame. But in January it seems like everyone who got money for Christmas comes to eBay.

One account is lousy, but it is vintage collectibles, art, etc. and I've been focused more on our retail store than ebay this season. I relisted about 35 items, and sold 2. Fortunately, the biggest item sold at $299.
My other account is a much different story. I am having my best holiday season in many years. I've sold 127 of 272 for a total of almost $6K in the last 30 days. Thanksgiving Day was fantastic for me, as have just about any day/time for that matter. I've listed items to end on almost every day of the week. The slowest were Thursdays... but Friday afternoons are great!
Two days ago I received an email from a winning bidder telling me I should be selling it for alot more, because everyone is out of stock.
It will most certainly die down after January 1st... but I'm in dismay about how well this year is going.

All auctions stop today. Had miserable results with the discounted auctions last week, but store sales were strong. Most times sales are better after Christmas when people realize what they need / want and did not get from Santa.
I am going to relax and enjoy the holidays until after Christmas. Less anxiety about items reaching their destination by a certain date, also when you sell after Christmas

Heavens, no. I can't see any compelling reason to list anything at all on eBay again, ever.
I do have a pile of stuff I wanted to sell to raise money for The Nine Lives Foundation but with auction results as lousy as they've been this fall and winter, I'm not as hopeful as I once was of producing cash for the shelter.
Sales are huge on our Jody Coyote earrings website. Yesterday was our best day ever. We're on the verge of having a success disaster. I have my eye on several empty office spaces near here. It'll be great to get the business out into the world. I want to be in place by the first of February at the latest, what with the post-Christmas rush, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day on the horizon.
