I guess I am not special enough to get this deal.
I am registered on EBay.ca but have been listing on EBay.com for 7 years. I am a little ticked off right now!!!

In an Auction Bytes article from late this evening.
http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y09/m12/i31/s01
I tried to find the actual Announcement on EBay and the only way to get to it was through Ina Steiners article so I would assume that anyone who received the Top Secret letter from EBay would be given a link to the special page that is hidden from view to you & me.
I am so fed up that tomorrow I am booking us into our favourite motel in Lincoln City...trying to get the last 2 weeks of April and first week of May.

I don't get it either. I have 100% feedback and good DSR's. I have been registered on .com for 11 year. I NEVER get an email from .com or .ca about special lising days, so I did a trial auction, but no discount. Is it possible that it's a hoax?

Good Morning from the West Coast!
I woke up still angry so I have to get over it and back to my usual sunny self!
Amber, that is an interesting thought but it is right on the Auction Bytes site and someone had already posted to the EBay Boards last evening before I did on here.
It would be nice if it is an 'April Fools' typ of joke.

There is a discussion on the Stores Board and someone managed to contact EBay and was told it is for Top BUYERS who don't sell to give them a 'feel' for selling.
There is also a thread on Seller central where one person has actually received the invite.
Do you think it may be ever so remotely possible that we Sellers may get a special too even at a lesser discount...nah...they don't like us anymore.
I never thought I would hear myself say this but I do wish there was somewhere else I could sell that has buyers.

So, they're trying to turn the buyers into sellers. That's nice. As it is, there are already more sellers than there are buyers.

A deadbeat left me a negative feedback and Ebay refused to remove it,it also said it is not nice to call a bidder a deadbeat!
I would not be surprised if this 'deadbeat' receives an email from EBAY to start selling !

Many top buyers are brick and mortar retail store owners looking for merchandise .
They can get them cheaper on Ebay than what they pay their wholesalers.

That may no longer be true. Especially if you factor in poor descriptions, the quality of the goods, plus poor packaging and shipping, which usually results in damaged product. And, let's not forget the communication problems with a seller that is unresponsive.

You have to know what you are doing when shopping on Ebay.
Take a look at this seller, many dealers and collectors buy from him

Yes, you are correct. After doing eBay for almost 11 years, you would think I'd get it right by now. I'll keep trying. Who knows? Perhaps next year? After another year, I might just know what I am doing on eBay.

Isn't it interesting that if Auction Bytes had not written about it with a link to the SECRET page then those of us (99.9%) who did not get the offer....would never have known about it!
Darn that Ina Steiner anyways....they say that 'Ignorance is bliss" so I wish it had stayed that way!
