Another stupid eBay idea. A 4.0 rating means Accurate discription, Satisfied with communication, Quickly shipped, and reasonable shipping and handling charges. They made up these stupid stars and what they mean. A 4.3 should be a good score not a reason to get rid of sellers.

The newest feedback system and these stars are the worst eBay idea yet.

Not a new policy... they've had that since the August '08 updates (right around when I stopped selling on eBay!.. and never been happier!)

I love the description of what a seller who is below 4.1 has to do to be able to sell again. It is a "hope for the best" policy. Don't you just love eBay and how vague they have become. I had a conversation with an eBay CSR awhile back. I was ticked that eBay removed a NPB warning from a bidder who didn't pay. The CSR went through an "at eBay discretion" speech. My reply was, will this buyer be suspended for non-payment on one item? His reply, "no". I said, then why remove a NPB warning if that is all that it is... a warning? It is a shot across the bow telling the bidder that he shouldn't be bidding on items he won't pay for. Instead, eBay basically told the bidder it is ok for him not to pay if he calls or emails eBay whining about it later. I told the CSR that eBay is hurting sellers buy allowing this type of buyer to continue. They don't care. It is all about the buyer now.

This is the guideline eBay gives for sellers that are "blocked" from selling due to low DSRs. Love it!
--------------

What does it mean to be "blocked" from selling? Is this the same as suspension? How long will a seller be blocked?

Sellers will not be allowed to list, but will not be suspended. Sellers will continue to be blocked from listing as long as their DSRs are not at least 4.1. Blocked sellers may list items again once their DSRs meet or exceed the threshold. Blocked sellers can accomplish this in the following ways:

* Complete current transactions successfully and receive high DSRs

* If 12-month DSRs are above the minimum standard, wait for low DSRs over the last 30 days to roll off until the 30-day DSRs are above the threshold or a full 30-days have passed

* If 12-month DSRs are below the threshold, wait until low DSRs to roll off

Someone from Italy did not pay ,so I emailed her and invoice and reinvoice and no response.
So I filed with Ebay ,then I hear from her daily saying that her son bidded and so please cancel the transaction.
else she will neg me.
I said deadbeats cannot neg seller,so please pay .
Anyway I got my neg and she got a strike.
I asked Ebay to remove the neg, first they looked at the wrong transaction.
After I corrected that, then another Ebay rep looked at my mail folder and said no way,you should not call your customer a 'deadbeat' as we want to improve customer relation.
So now I forwarded Ebay policy to them saying non paying bidder will have their feedback removed and of course feedback extortion is a no no.
I am still waiting to hear from them,I cannot believe they side with this deadbeat bidder,if they read my email folders they will found tons of email from her saying I will neg you,I will neg you/
Of course I can also turn around and ask who brought us these deadbeats and scammers? Ebay is just a venue ,what kind of venue is this?gulag venue!
