Is it heavy (thick) glass? Any markings on the metal top?

Can't tell much by your picture. How is the sterling top attached to the glass? Is the top solid, or is there a hole in the top of it?

Hello,

You make images show up by using the following tags:

[img] - this goes before the URL of the picture.

[/img] - this goes right after the end of the URL.

It will look like this (im not using the correct brackets here so you can see the code):

{img}http://www.thisisyourpictureurl.com/pic.jpg{/img}

Just use the [] brackets in the above example rather than the {} brackets I used in the sample and your picture will appear.

Regards,
Chris

the sivler top just fits on- kind of unscrew it but not grooved... there is no hole in top of silver thing

here are more pictures and the clear ones I have... same type - just different color.

could it be a top for a hurricane lantern or ?

Oh, I assumed it was some sort of bottle. I didn't realize that the bottom was open. Yes, it's most likely a lamp/candle chimney. The silver top, when in place would snuff the flame.
