Paypal should require a phone number for any payments made.
Greyhound requires it for pick up or delivery.
It took me over 30 days to get something shipped last month because the lady never checked her email.
I got a payment on Friday for another Greyhound shipment and again no phone number.
The number ebay has isn't any good either and 411 doesn't have it.
I hate to even pack the item until I have the phone number, let alone ship it.

ladyjewels2000 . I had the same problem with 2 sellers in a row. so i rang ebay powersellers and complained about the wrong phone numbers. They said that now that i have reported it they will stop them selling and buying until their contact details have been rectified. It really is amazing how fast they fixed the problem. Sometimes it will take a little longer but seems to work.

The other thing i do if i have their address, especially the town that they live in is to check with the telephone numbers center.

I sure dont want Paypal to give my phone number to every Ebay seller whom I do business with.
How many of us really use Greyhound?
You should ask for their phone number in the invoice.

the problem is that even though you ask for this info, it is often overlooked and rarely included with the payment. the other problem is that some bidders think that not shipping it with this info are delay tactics. I have had a few buyers over the years get weird about that. They never acknowledge that they overlooked your emails and attempts to contact them. There is always that one in the bunch.

Once you have done a transaction with someone, they can get your phone number that is on file, so why not just require it. The problem with the phone number on file is that it's often old and no longer valid.
I did ask for the phone number in the listing and in the invoice. I also sent 2 other emails requesting it.
The good news is that she finally wrote me and requested that I ship it another way. It will cost more but she is willing to pay the difference.

Well the buyer never got back with me about the shipping. My 7 days to ship would have ended yesterday so I went ahead and shipped UPS.
I guess I'll eat the extra shipping.
Why don't these buyer read the description - she acted like it was a big fat surprise that I was shipping Greyhound but it was right there in big letters. Plus she knew I was trying to ship and didn't even care.
