Just want to give the heads up on this buyer. She is extremely picky and apparently thinks quite highly of herself as a seller too.

My DSRs dropped right after she left feedback even though I shipped her items via Priority Mail the following day after she paid and they arrived two days later . She left somewhat unfavorable positive feedback, even though she knew exactly what she was purchasing.

she bought two "blind" boxes of toy chairs from me. there are 9 boxes to a set, and each piece is in a sealed mystery box (contents unknown). She purchased two of these mystery boxes, and when they arrived she left the following feedback for each:

1st item: "blind pick" wasn't what I would have picked, but good combined shipping policy"

I followed up: "Blind Box=Mystery item, like pack of sports cards. This is stated in the listing"

She followed: "buyers are unaware of what's coming in a "blind" choice but luckily mine was OK"

2nd item: "not what I would have chosen, but okay for a "blind pick"

I followed up: "Not sure what buyer means. Boxes are blind-contents unknown. Impossible to pick."

She followed: "Seller could sell openbox items, but only sells sealed ones-mine was satisfactory"

I know I received positive feedback, but it was her wording that has ticked me off most. She implies that I did something wrong, when I sold her exactly what the listing stated very clearly several times over. She goes as far as to suggest that I can sell "open box" items... but that isn't what she purchased and she knows it.

When I attempted to contact her to inquire if there was a problem she responded:

"I meant that for pieces I was not able to choose -- "blind" choices, they were satisfactory. We used to call this "grab bag", you get what you get, whether you want it or not. Your auction states that you provide a blind box instead of one that has been opened and the item is know. It is my fault that I read the auction quickly and saw "box" not "blind". I did want it mentioned in feedback that I was satisfied and got lucky with the random mystery item I received. Some bidders might also not notice the "blind" part. It's not in the short indexed description. For example, the listing that I saw in the index says "dollhouse furniture mid-century modern v2 box reac" TO me that mean furniture as plural -- no "one furniture item". If it had said "mid century modern Reac chair blind choice" in the listing title, it would have been immediately clear to me that this was not a set of furniture, but 1 chair, and not one a buyer could pick. Thanks for your interest in clarity."

Just another buyer that doesn't read the discription. You were lucky, some will take out their stupidity on the seller.

i agree, and you would think that she would realize that being a seller herself which is why i put this info here. she is not someone i would want to sell to in the future.

This does seem unfair as you could not have been more clear in your description.

Doesn't surprise me that you've encountered a confused customer among those who will buy a boxed item without knowing what is inside the box.

Oh, but wait... I should mention that she did email me after buying them stating that she didn't read the description until after, but was ok with it since she purchased some sets from another seller. So, I shipped them to her. She never emailed me regarding any issues.

If you read the description in the auction, I clearly state what to expect several times over.

About 2 months ago I had contacted eBay regarding these listings because it was the first time I had listed them like this and wanted to make sure that I listed these properly b/c I have 5 different sets that I sell blind boxes for. They reviewed it for me, made a suggestion and I followed it.

It isn't my responsibility to read the description for the buyer, and her being a seller should know better. Her excuse that I should include more information in the title is absurd. She knows full well that the title isn't the end all of an auction description.

99.9% of items on eBay can't be fully summarized in the title alone. Condition, sizes, dimensions, etc. are always included in the description, not always room in the title.

One thing that would help me big time is if eBay used the subtitles as part of the keyword search. That would justify the fee associated with it. It frustrates me that subtitles aren't considered part of the title for search purposes.
