We set up a booth at last night's farmer's market, more to get the word out than to actually sell anything.

While my husband was manning the booth, a woman came up and complained about the price of the earrings. "I can get them for less than that at the Macy's on Guam!" And flounced off.

Is someone offering free plane tickets to Guam?

You should hear the remarks I get when I go to jewelry shows and set up my farm supplies...

I thought flouncers were big ugly mean-lookin' dudes.

Hey Fluff,
They are big, ugly, mean looking guys, but they wear open toed high heels - which makes flouncing a lot easier.

I have not done a show in years but I'll never forget this question - "Are these real rhinestones?"

In my "youth" I used to make and sell things at "Craft Shows." I always loved the remark, "I could make that myself." I would reply,"Then why don't you!!"

My husband (before he was) and I used to square dance with the Stanford club. Let's just say it brings in all types of people. It wasn't uncommon to have a couple of big ugly mean-looking guys in attendance, wearing makeup, petticoats, high heels and a five o'clock shadow.
