Did someone here mention that we can override those mandatory shipping limits eBay sets? For instance, I have a group of five HB collector books on a certain subject, and the shipping limit for books is $3.99. I know shipping will be a dollar or two more, which I guess I'll have to eat. But the group of books will go for a song. . . .

use calculated shipping, weight the books add some weight for packing and put that in the shipping section.
you can add your handling fee a little lower and all the ones I did came out right, and ebay won't complain

OMG, slapping my forehead. I see a note to use media mail or calculated shipping right there on the page. I hope this works. I would have sold more book groups if I'd known this earlier. Thanks, you two. Adele

The collector books (5 of them) up for sale, ending tomorrow night, are all doll collector books.
Too late to change the shipping on them, but a big 5.5# book I'm listing for later on will have the calculated shipping recommended here; I hope it works with eBay. It's an 1800s huge book of carols, most of which no one has ever sung or heard of, so I'm aiming it at church choir directors who want/need something different at Christmas.
