Ya gotta read this - could be a great movie.
"eBay's Top Affiliates Indicted for Fraud"
"The U.S. government has charged two eBay affiliates with wire fraud in a case involving "cookie stuffing." eBay had filed a lawsuit against them and a third affiliate in 2008; that case is now on hold while criminal charges proceed."
"What Does Carmen Electra, Cyber-Terrorism and Meg Whitman Have In Common? eBay!"
"Personally I was more than happy with the income I was getting as an eBay affiliate, but eBay was not and helped me come up with new/innovative ideas for driving more traffic to eBay."

I believe eBay's account is true. This was all the talk in the affiliate community a few years ago, i.e. that Hogan and company were stuffing visitors' cookies with not only eBay affiliate information but Amazon as well and perhaps others.
The word "on the street" is that eBay fired Commission Junction, one of the biggest affilate management programs, over these losses and took the affiliate program in-house, where it is now the eBay Partner Network.

fluff, are you with eBay Partner Network? I have had a little success with it. In a few weeks, I'll be listing my eBay auctions at my store, using eBay Partner Network.
