This vase is a beautiful color. It's blue with purple hues. It looks purple with the camera flash on but blue with it off.
I think it maybe Heisey or Fostoria but I don't know for sure.
Does anyone know what the color is called, the maker and pattern.

Beautiful! I don't know much about glass but I love the color! Is thatcolor called amethyst glass?

I believe amethyst glass appears black until you hold it to a strong light - then it's deep purple.
Here's a link to some of Heisey Alexandrite - they are saying it's pink but I think it looks more pale purple - like this piece?? Sorry can't make a link either. lol

Your welcome ebabestreasures I found it with your help I went to yahoo and typed in Alexandrite vase then went to images and ta-da it was there. This place has taught me how to look up things by just key words....thank you everyone that helped me in the beginning !!
