I never really used this option but recently found some very nice china - sold all of it in a lot except for a few very hard to find bowls.
I had 3 of them so I listed them individually.
Of course 2 of them got pulled (I forgot about rule 10,001) so now I'm wondering if I can relist these 2 in my store.
Isn't this kind of a stupid rule? I can understand have 15 to 100 of the same thing listed but 3 - give me a break.

why cant you have one listing with quantity of 3?
if they are identical.
But then is condition identical?
if you want to list them individually, you can make the title the same and add #1,#2,#3.

Per eBay: "Sellers can't use separate listings to sell multiple identical items in the fixed price format at the same time."
and "The new Duplicate Listing policy does not apply to Auction-style listings."

I had an item pulled because of multiple, one was in a box and one wasn't, so it really wasn't a violation, but as Fluff said, I made the titles very different.
What kills me is the people that STILL write that you have to pay for INSURANCE. I reported one seller (I never do that, but the wording of her demands really got on my nerves) and NOTHING happened to hundreds of listing with the offending verbiage.

i haven't had this problem... yet. I list certain items that have exactly the same title except size. I haven't had them pulled, but perhaps it has to do with the item specifics too.
i wish that eBay would actually start putting the multi-variation feature into areas other than clothing. there are certain items that don't go into clothing, but are clothing. example: collectible team apparel, or certain advertising collectibles such as Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts, Harley Davidson t-shirts, Coca Cola t-shirts.

I just relisted at auction. I had them listed that way before and didn't even think about it when I put them in my store.
I just got my TRS back after I got my numbers over 100 items sold - guess I'll lose it again.
I still think it's a stupid rule but then again I hate to see a seller with 200 of the same item listed over and over so I guess I understand it. Just wish they would enforce it for everyone - not just a few???

Well, I guess I've been hit by this Multiple Item Rule as well... oddly enough my listings are not the same and this could have very easily been avoided had eBay set up the Multi-Variation feature for this particular category.
I sell pro team items on another account. Item titles include player names, team names, brand and size.
All of the listings are similar for each player except the sizing. Each title has a different size... but for some reason one of my items was pulled. I have two listings for this particular item. The variation is listed as, "48 MD" and "52 XL".
I called eBay and the rep thinks I am correct for complaining about it and agrees there is obviously a difference between the two. Unfortunately, he was unable to approve my relisting until he seeks further council from someone else at eBay.
You would think that this would be a non-issue if part of the title was obviously different and the Item Specifics for sizes were also different.
I would much prefer eBay start using "multi-variation" for this category so that I can list different sizes and colors within one listing... but that obviously is way too much to ask eBay for. Instead, they harass me by removing listings and disrupting my business.
