Bidder uses Make an Offer... $49.00 including shipping. My settings auto accept offer.

5 minutes later bidder emails me and asks me if I will match the price of another seller who has the identical item at $43.95.

I email her back and tell her that that company charges $4.99 for shipping on top of the price with a total of $48.94 (6 cent difference).

3 days later and still no response, no payment. Now I see the other company is offering free shipping with all of their orders. Go figure. I am not caving to her price match request. I am NOT WalMart and someone else will be more than willing to buy it once I can relist it.

I just don't get buyers who commit to something, and then try this BS. What really gets me is that she is on record asking me to match the price. Once this item heads to an item dispute, she can easily send a one letter response and avoid getting a unpaid strike against her.

In the meantime, I have to await payment because at anytime she can pay for it and I have to ship it to her. This is the last one I have.

Ironically, this item is quite hot right now for a holiday gift. I am so tired of buyers getting to hold sellers hostage like this.

I'm surprised she didn't ask if she could put it on lay-a-way.

Why would she avoid getting an unpaid strike just because she asked you to match a price? That does not seem fair, she agreed to your price when she did the BIN. Buyer's remorse should not be a "get out of jail free card." In fact, I think it should be a strike against her. I sell many things that I see others selling for a lower price. So what!! If you buy it from me, you pay the price listed, if not, buy it form the other guy. But don't haggle with me after the fact.

exactly.

now she is just ignoring her responsibility to buy it. She hasn't purchased another one using the same account. Some people just have no respect for others.

For a seasonal item there is no time to waste. Ding this non-paying bidder and relist.

File non-paying bidder, and relist if she doesn't pay.

What you do is you get a friend (or use your buying ID) to send her email that says something like this...

"I see you won this widget. I know this is a strange request but I really really really need this one for Christmas! Will you take $100 for it?"

Watch how fast she pays you then.
