I just had a strange experience. I was shipping a parcel post package from 18837 to 75063 that weighed 8 LBS. I was using a small USPS scale, so I had they weigh it at the post office. It came to 10 LBS. So I said I would pay the extra postage, don't want to cheat anyone.
The lady says, the cost for 10LBS is $9.56. I told her it was wrong because my cost through pay pal shipping was $13.27 for parcel post for 8 LBS.
She called in another employee, and they came up with the same $9.56. I don't know who is right, but parcel post has not been the bargain lately it use to be.

I went to USPS.com, and after figuring out why the post office is losing money (go there and work it through to just find parcel post is a real #*!@), the $13.27 is the right price. So apparently they postal workers were intending to give me an "unauthroized" discount!

Did you add a handling charge on your ebay shipping costs? perhaps that is why Paypal was different than the PO.
