I live in a subdivision and share a mail station with my neighbors on the street.
Sometimes my mail would be delivered to my neighbor mail box and vice versa, sometimes I get mail from neighbor not even on my street and not sharing the same mail station.
Some of my neighbor(s) do not return my mail.twice a package was scanned delivered but I never receive it.
Now I was just going thru my Social Security Statements of prior years and noticed I am missing 2011,and worse I have my neighbor's statement which I did not realise when I received it in the mail?
Does any of you have the same problem,or is this a new phenomena?
I dont recall ever having so much problem with USPS until I move to this subdivision?

In the past week we received 3 pieces of mail for our neighbor and 1 piece with an address one mile away.
Recent problem.

If it were I, I'd report this to the postmaster right away. No reason for you to be missing important mail because of a rather careless deliverer. Just one thing that could happen--your social security account could be stolen and that would make for Big Problems.

Well,SS does not print our social security number in full on the annual statement ,but there is a lot of confidential personal information on that statement, like how much you would receive at retirement age, your birthdate and how much you make every year, how much you and your employer have contributed, how many credits have you earned to qualify for SS disability, none of these information we want to share with our neighbors.
Everytime my regular post man is on leave, the substitutes are terrible, poorly trained and careless, but then my regular is also making mistakes,is this overwork, burnt out or is it time for eye exam.

Get a Post Office Box at your local post office. Use that address for your important mail.

When I lived in the city,I did rent a mail box with the local post office.
Then a letter from my credit card company with 3 blank drafts for me to use against my line of credit was stolen.
I did not know it was missing until the credit card issuer called me and asked if I wrote a draft in the amount of 975 dollars?
I said no,then the guy said,we dont think so either?
Well,how do you know,I asked.
He said-we checked ,you dont do business with that company.
Then he said, there will be two more drafts coming and we will just ignore them.
He is right, two more drafts showed up,in the amount of $925 and $955.
I dont know who stole it or is it just misplaced in wrong mail box?
All three drafts were made out to a finance company which issue credit cards to credit less worthy individuals.
If a postal worker wants to misplace/steal your mail,he can do it in the post office or from the mail truck.

Getting a mail box at the post office does not necessarily solve this problem,if they can misplace mail in mail station, they can do the same in the post office!!
