Remember the thread on a Thai PHD student in Califonia selling on EBAY school textbooks from US publishers printed/marketed in foreign countries and making some good money.
He asked his relatives to buy those books in Thailand and he will list them on Ebay for less than what the US bookstore charges.
The Court just ruled in his favor, once he bought the books,he owns the books and can resell them.

Cool, thanks for the update. I thought he had the right to sell the books. That law suit opened a huge can of worms.

Good news: He can sell foreign textbooks in US.

Bad news: Publishers will stop offering a break to these countries so students there will need to spend more or go without.

Same will happen if prescription drugs can be resold.
