This was part of eBay Stories this week. A Guinea Pig chain mail armor and helmet. It is now at a ridiculous $24,400. I went to look at the bid history. Most of the bidders have decent feedback, but is someone really going to pay the price for this item? I have to wonder how many of those are shill bids, or if eBay employees are bidding it up.
I also note in the feedback history that there have been numerous bid retractions and cancellations.
But, this is what you expect from eBay.

Actually I find this one quite refreshing!
EBay life has become way too serious over the past few years causing those of who are left to frown a lot but this one made me smile as it reminded me of the fun we all used to have in the 'Olden Days' while we were also making good money.
It ended at $24,300 the money (if ever paid) after eBay expenses to be donated to Charity.
Did you read the Questions & answers? It seems that many folks have entered into the spirit of the auction with tongues firmly planted in cheeks.
Thank you for sharing this one and giving me my chuckle of the day.

I read the questions & answers very entertaining. The seller has quite a way with words! He should write an advise column.
I didn't know there was a need for guinea pig rescue!

I found this through eBay stories. I find that many items featured on eBay stories are problematic, whether it be questionable bidding or even violating eBay policies.

Well, as predicted, the winning bidder, nor any of the top 5 highest bidders paid for the item.
i would hate to think the seller had some friends shill bidding, but either way these bidders should be ashamed of themselves and eBay should suspend them for at least a month for playing games with a charity auction.
