I have added tracking info to several packages yesterday and some still do not show the item as shipped. When I click on "add tracking" again it does show the tracking number and shipping company, so I can't really add it again.
Most frustrating is that I bet eBay will allow the buyer to leave DSRs on shipping time for these.

The situation you describe was one of the main reasons for my switch to Stamps.com.
Before Stamps.com, eBay labels would not show as being shipped to all international locations, and many times, domestic locations.
However, with the use of the scan form, all shipments show as being shipped within a few hours of pick-up. An added plus, is the email notification by Stamps.com, when the label is printed. The email notice contains a link from which the buyer can track the delivery process of their purchase.
I do not rely on the eBay or PayPal system to purchase my shipping labels.
This might sound strange, but I have seen where eBay accepts a tracking number for an item that isn't yet marked as shipped. Double check that the items are actually marked as shipped - otherwise they may just be holding onto the tracking number awaiting confirmation that the item has indeed shipped. (of course a tracking number should automatically mean it's shipped, but it hasn't necessarily been programmed to work.)

That is pretty much what happened. I did go back and mark them as shipped. Some shipments auto marked as shipped, while others didn't and I had to go back this morning and manually do so.

There are Ebay sellers who would print the shipping label online but wont be shipping the package the same day .
Some ship once a week or if consignment, they may have to pick up the item ,I have seen it withe expensive jewelry.
