I shipped a small item using USPS priority express to Australia on August 12 and it arrived August 16.
Unfortunately local post office made 3 delivery attempts and no one is home!!!!!
Regular priority overseas delivery usually take longer than 4 days,to HK would be 10 days including customs clearance,so I would say 10-13 days for Australia,so priority express is faster, almost like express mail.

I have shipped items using Priority Mail that have taken 5 days up to 2 weeks via International, some even longer. I shipped an item Express Mail and it arrived in UK within 4 days. I think it just depends on the receiving country, how busy they are and how quick customs handles their packages. Try shipping to Australia in mid-december and see how long it takes.

I got a neg last december when a first class package to Australia took 30 days to arrive!
I got another neg for a first class package going to California last December which arrived after Xmas,Ebay stated on my item page that first class mail takes 3-5 days and the buyer bought the item based on this piece of information.
Then comes another neg from a UK buyer when she bought 3 items and I upgrade her shipping from first class mail to priority mail instead of refunding her for combined shipping.
Then another neg comes from a German buyer when he found out he could have bought the item CHEAP locally instead of paying overseas first class shipping.
Several UK and Tasmania buyers claimed item arrived damaged and refused to show a picture how it is damaged or show picture of item which is not damaged,I refunded in full else I would have gotten more negs.
I am no longer a top rated seller!

Oh,back to this recent USPS priority express package I mailed to Australia, the buyer wanted it before AUgust 25th for his girlfriend birthday!
I spent considerable efforts researching and found this method of shipping to be the best for $$ and time, since it is new,I have to figure how to print label and found the right envelope and drive to a mail service place to drop off the package.
The package arrived in 4 days and the local post office made 3 attempted delivery.
So I emailed the buyer ,then he told me his girlfriend does not check her mail box ,NOW WHY DOES HE GIVE ME HER SHIPPING ADDRESS WHEN HE WANTS IT BY AUGUST 25TH KNOWING SHE DOES NOT CHECK HER MAIL BOX !!!!
What if she never check her mail box and the deadline past,do I get a neg ??

"Regular priority overseas delivery usually take longer than 4 days,to HK would be 10 days including customs clearance,so I would say 10-13 days for Australia,so priority express is faster, almost like express mail. "
It is Express mail. The USPS renamed Express Mail, both domestic and international, to Priority Express.

Bill,
you are so right, when I printed the label online,it said EMS and then in small print PRIORITY EXPRESS .
I just went to USPS site,it looks like there is no more Express mail, but what happens to signature confirmation?
USPS EXPRESS Mail intl guarantee which they turn over to Fed Exp is no longer available,so what do we do for signature confirmation??

see,here is the problem-
USPS intl express guarantee provides signature confirmation,it is trackable online on both USPS and Fed Exp sites.
This is no longer available so we either have to use registered mail or go to Fed Exp or DHL or UPS to mail any overseas package requiring signature confirmation unless it qualifies for Ebay shipping using Pitney Bowles, not all Ebay categories qualify for Ebay shipping.
