I listed and sold a dress for my daughter that had been my granddaughter's. This is what Ebay has the nerve to put on my item!!

I am not surprised-
bringing in the big dept stores selling their remainders is more profitable, and less hassles.
The Ebay customer service is overloaded with phone calls, disputes ,squabbles between buyers and sellers.
Also asking every one to file theft and fraud reports with police,USPS and FBI overloaded their systems with petty complaints.
With these big companies, they have their own customer service to handle returns, disputes etc and their merchandise would be as described.
They also can accept credit cards with their own merchant account.
Did you read that Ebay has signed an agreement in China to help Chinese to sell what they manufactured in Tienshin ,China where many goods are produced.
question is that a free listing or did you pay a listing fee?

I just read your thread again, the dress was sold?
So Ebay is showing all these Macy stuff after the listing is closed.
It is their site, they can do whatever they want, they have been doing this for years now, waving other sellers' similar merchandise in front of our buyers after listing closed

I just looked at one of my live auctions and there are sponsored links at the bottom.
Then I looked at my other ID without signing in and there were all these other eBay listing on my page. People who viewed this also like these. This is a live listing too.
Yes eBay does have a lot of nerve.

This item sold, but the sponsors were there when the item was active. Really, driving sellers to other sites and sellers, nasty.
I pay for a store and my brother and daughter do not and they get more freebies than I do, including more free listing promos, free BIN on auctions and free scheduled listings.
I am closing my store after the New Year and just listing and taking their crumbs when they come my way.

They may get free listings, but do they sell much?
I have one store ID and 3 free listing IDs and my one store Id sell more, much more than the other 3 combined.
I paid $49.95 for a store and I always make enough to pay my store fee and FVF fees.

mpcomp: my brother's free listings have been doing well. Probably better than my store listings both fixed and auction. My daughter has sort of drifted off at least for the time being.

My husband was looking for something on eBay and must have put it in his cart. This morning I get this email from eBay:
SAVE $14.60 for a limited time.
Added to your cart at $28.79. We found one similar for $14.19. (with a link to the item)
So I guess they do that to all their sellers. Wish they would just keep their hands out of our pockets.
