WOW, a hole in one. Your husband should be very happy and proud..
I started playing golf in 1965. It's a great game, I wish could play now.
My grandfather had three hole in ones. Two of them were on the 4th hole of the club we belong to. Maybe the 4th hole is lucky for your family and mine.

congrats!
My 7 year old has already determined that he's going to be a golf pro when he grows up. He's been taking lessons for some time now and got bit by the golf bug when he was a mere pup at about 3 years old when he wandered out of Grandma's yard, in a country club estate, and right onto the green. He wandered and watched and when we finally found him all he said was "I want golf! I want golf!"
He's the only 7 year old I know that can actually sit down and watch a golf tournament on TV... actually he lasts longer watching than me, lol
Ooh, and I got a couple of great 8 X 10's of Tiger Woods on eBay that hang in his room... if anyone knows of any listings for golf valances, let me know, k?
Your reference to Peter and Paul reminded me of the story about the great golf course up above.
Peter and Paul were both teaching pro's there and were all set to have a teaching round with a new arrival and a long haired fella wearing sandals and a robe.
The first hole was a difficult par4 with an opening shot across a large lake.
The scruffy looking fella teed off with an eight iron, hit it woefully short, and landed right in the middle of the lake. He tried this shot three more times, perservering with an eight iron, and three more times he landed in the middle of the lake.
The new-comer to heaven was getting impatient and asked Peter and Paul, "Who does this guy think he is, Jesus Christ?"
Peter politely replied that the golfer was Jesus Christ. "The trouble is", chipped in Paul, " that he thinks he's Tiger Woods!"

Good golf stories: Back in the early 1970's, my dad had a co-worker and casual friend named Danny. Now Danny lived and breathed golf, and in Southern California, could indulge his hobby almost all year long. He once told my dad that he'd die happy if he went while on the green.
One day Danny was out on the course with his regular partner and they had a close one going. In fact, they were tied after the 18th hole, so they had to play another round, a 19th hole. Just as Danny went to address the ball, he keeled over, dead of a heart attack. Fate had a sense of humor that day; the 19th hole tie-breaker is also called "sudden death"!
