Came across it by accident. Didn't know it was on. I thought BB #1 left a lot to be desired (although it did have it's moments), but this one looks like things are going to fly.
The 12 players reminded me of some of the BB1 players. Most shared their ages....most around 30 - 33 with one older gentleman (reminded me of George).
Starts out with them getting to know one another. VERY attractive looking group of people. One girl suggests they all take their clothes off right now, and end the mystery. HUH??? They play spin the bottle and if it points to them, they do a truth or dare kind of thing.
They all seem to be setting up their plans on how to win.
First challenge they have to earn their food for that 1st week, or else eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all week. Challenge is they must get all their food and themselves into the car. That worked pretty well. BUT then, they said the last one to remain in the car (some sort of van) would win it. No potty breaks, no smoking, etc.
Then they elected a 'house leader' (not the correct title) which ended up being a bar owner from Beverly Hills. The special room provides privacy, all types of luxuries and mirrors on the ceiling above the bed. OO la la.

Hi Linda_K, I watched it too (on purpose). I had watched the first episode of the first Big Brother series and decided it wasn't worth spending time on (boring), but this one looks much better. There's quite a "sexy" slant to it, though, and even my husband noticed they tended to pan in on Hardy's and the other guy's ripped abs a lot.
That Kent (?) guy who won the car has got to be the first one to go. He totally psyched that girl into getting out of the car so he could win it. What a jerk. I'm glad he got the sleeping bag on the floor.

Hi RainyBear - Well, I'll watch it next week on purpose.
Yes, Kent that's his name. I was surprised when someone suggested (while they were are stuffed into the car) that whoever won the car should be the first to be voted off. Thought, 'boy, this is a tough group....they're going right for the throat'. But now that I've seen the different way people are going to be voted off, that might not work.
They're starting to form alliances early too. Then in the scene where Kent is telling the gay guy (sorry I'm not good with names) how he felt about gays, I felt embarassed for him.
Did it surprise you that the girl got into bed with that guy on the first night? His reaction and statement about her sounded pretty much on the mark to me. She reminded me of the girl with the different colored hair from BB#1. (sorry again)
Anyway, if the program continues like this first show....it's going to be very entertaining.

Yeah, that was weird when Autumn (I know her name now after reading the BB web site) climbed into bed with Hardy. Then she started saying things like, "Does it bother you to be affectionate with me?" or something like that, and he's just like, huh?? Do I know you???

On again tonight (Saturday)...looks promising so far, BUT CBS has sold the rights to the web cams to RealPlayer...you gotta spend $30-$40 for "Real Player 8 Plus", and another #10 a month to get the web action...altho there IS a free preview til Monday....don't bother if you don't have Broadband connection.

I assume full responsibility for my actions, except
the ones that are someone else's fault.

Hi ubiedaman -- you can watch the live feed using the standard (free) RealPlayer 8. I had RealPlayer 7 and it told me I needed 8... downloaded and installed it quickly, no charge. I'm not going to pay the fee to watch the feeds, though. Better to just catch the highlights on TV!

okay--I confess, I've been watching this show. Don't see it on live feeds but there are sites that have live feed reporting so you can read about almost everything that is broadcast, and lord help me discussion forums.
One contestant has been thrwon out by the producers for violent behaviour, which included threatening other contestants, playfully holding a butcher knife to a woman's throat that he was making out with.
The alliances are brutal. The expelled contestant was part of an evil foursome (3 men and 1 women), that discuss having sex with the other contestants to get them on their side. If you thought Jerri on Survivor was mean---forget it--these people are truly malicious.
The cast of misfits that include a sensitive gay guy, a homophobic redneck, a hot divorced 43 year divorced mother, a welfare mom with a persucution complex, a doctor who think he is the most gorgeous, most intelligent person in the world, a bathinn suit model who feels about herself the same way, a Cajun street wise waitress---etc.
Last year Big Brother was bashed for being boring, so this year they made sure it wouldn't be.

I am watching it when Im not working. It is a far cry from the first one, but I havent decided if I am more disgusted with the backstabbing or disgust at myself for watching it. I think its about even so far.

I heard on the news last night that the producers kicked one of the men off the show. He'd pulled a knife on one of the women while he was kissing her--said that he'd thought it would add some excitement to the show. The producers thought it was a tad too *much* excitement & booted him off the show.

Krista was schnozzed and she and Justin (the one kicked off) were smooching on the kitchen tabel (yep, thats sleazy, especially when they know there are cameras everywhere) and he supposedly put a knife to her throat asking "would you get mad if I killed you" and she giggled and kept kissing him back. To me, she needed booting off too, since she asked for him to continue on with the knife. This same jerk strutted around with a towel around his waist, puffed chest and thinking hes bad. To make it even more sickening, some of the guests cried when he was booted. Yeah. Uh huh. Big loss. Its ludicrous and will only get worse I think.
Yep, I just now see that I am way ahead of finding myself disgusting more than the show itself for watching the damn thing. Think I will be busy at work the next time it comes on.

Spaz---it is major sleazy without a doubt. But what they show on the TV is a tiny fraction of the real sleaze that is occuring for the internet feed (which I repeat--I don't have).
I don't know if I'll continue watching the show either. My life must be too boring....
