Yep! A few lights out on the ole marquee! ...
Few fries short of a Happy Meal! ...
Not quite packing a full sea-bag, as us (former) "Coasties" used to say!

Not to change the subject, but tomwiii
how "former" are you?
I retired a couple of years ago.
Landlocked as I am now, I don't run into too many, in the real world or the ether one.
As for the site, if it's not a put-on, it made me feel sad for him, although the emotion is probably misplaced. He seems happy enough with his life.

I don't know. There are a lot worse obsessions to have. Not my cup of tea, but he seems to be happy with himself & with enough confidence to put himself out where anyone in the world can see.

Victoria: 1970-1974
Was on the Hamilton for a year; then went to Station Point Judith in RI for a year. Last two years, I ran the eye clinic at the Academy Hospital in New London. The wierd thing, I actually have a lot of fond memories of those years -- except for Cape May
Zilvy: this guy won a Webby award for best wierd site --

tomwiii You left just as I joined. I felt the same way about Cape May, especially since I was from Miami FL and went there in Nov.

My son is in the CG and actually likes it. He had 4 years in the Marines and is going for the 20 in the CG. He started out on a buoy tender in New London, now he is second in command in Newport, OR. He just finished being an instructor at Cape Disappointment in WA and has been everywhere from Alaska to Maine. He lucked out by having a family that doesn't mind the moves. His wife actually looks foreword to new places and his children adjust rapidly to their new homes.
Miss them all terribly since we live in CT and don't see them often enough.

I don't know, tomwiii.
You're going to have to better than that to find someone who makes you look normal.
------
Hmmm, I take it being stationed in Cape May is different than vacationing there?
It's one of my favorite vacation destinations.

I suppose I am not normal.....
I didn't see anything particularly weird about this site.
I didn't see anything, I would even remotely, call "sad" about the "owner".
I thought he was making a statement and actually did a wonderfully, refreshing job.
I liked it.
Of course, I have a 27 YOA son who is really into the RenFest circuit and he and all his friends enjoy putting on "full costume" and going to TGIF or one of the other common spots "just because". They said they like to watch the people watching them. They then discuss what they think they learned about their "fellow man/woman" judging from the reactions they observe.
I have asked him if he has ever been embarressed, he claims not at all.
He is married to a wonderful young woman who shares all his interests. They both have "real" careers in very common fields and their lifestyle doesn't seem to hold them back.
To say the "Peter Pan" guy is "different" is a fair statement. To say he has something "wrong" with him, may not be.......I saw the site as his way of saying just that.

sulyn1950: Again, I'm speechless! Twice in one thread!
