Who wants to go tell him? He might have a tantrum. Sure, it's just one poll, but it's very recent and may portend the future.

I was polled for a Zogby poll once by telephone. It was fun. Took about 25 minutes. It was weird though because it was a "political" poll, but I was asked all kinds of questions about my favorite movie, actor/actress, song, etc. I couldn't understand what those things had to do with politics.

Katy, I bet they mix and match polls. You may have been simultaneously answering more than one poll. That might be a part of the randomness thing. Or I might be talking out of my ass. *shrug*

Nothing like seeing he whom was shoved in our faces fall flat on his own with alittle time to see it. Smoke always equals fire and that idiot is burning.

I dunno James. This was prior to the last election primarys. I was asked alot about Bradley, and at that point in time, I didn't even know who the hell he was really. Also asked about Clinton, and approve/disapprove and Gore. I got the impression it was a "Democratic" poll of some sort, but at the end (and it was rather long) there were all sorts of questions about movies, songs, books. I know I got one question right though cause I answered Barbra Streisand to the one about favorite singer. They knew I was a bonafide Democrat then.

Zogby actually has a disclaimer on his site where he stresses that his organization is independent and non partisan - though he admits that he personally is a Democrat.

I missed Rawbunzel up there! I think all politicians are skilled at acting. A good many of them are downright hams! Oink, oink!

WASHINGTON (CP) - Reflecting on his first turbulent six months in the Oval Office, U.S. President George W. Bush betrayed a hint of frustration by plugging the merits of despotism.

"I've always said a dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier. No question about it," he said last week.

To the dictatorship fantasy, he added..."just so long as I'm the dictator." LoL... eliminating his head-knocking and arm-twisting problems with congress.

"He might have a tantrum." ...or he may be crying about it.

baduizm: the full punchline was: Surprise, surprise! That ain't my finger, neither! ---particularly apt considering what Bush is doing to us...

Drooping polls, damaged economy, a month-long hiatus - typical Republican administration. That explains this, then : EPA backs PCB-dredging plan for Hudson River . It had been expected that the Clinton deal pushed on GE to get them to partially pay for the clean-up would have fallen by the way-side now that Bush and the Republicans came into full power. Since the media has been watching this one very closely and was waiting for the inevitable Bush sucking up to GE and slamming the Clinton deal, the administration's advisors have ended up pretending to make GE a sacrificial lamb to the media so Bush's image won't get worse. I say "pretend" because they'll find a back-door way in Congress to quietly pass the taxpayer's funds along to GE to use for the clean up. Still, I am always surprised at how willing Republicans always are to sacrifice one of their own in order to claim innocence.

Are respondents in these polls limited to readers of the Round Table? I see constant dissatisfaction with Bush here every day, yet it doesn't seem to reflect reality. Out in the real world, I never hear people badmouthing Bush. At worst, there seems to be a widespread indifference. His policies seem to elicit a collective shrug of the shoulders (except for the tax refund, which people seemed grateful for, the dupes) but little else. Since the election, I haven't heard anyone but you guys here at RT complaining about Bush.

I wish more people would openly oppose the guy. But I just don't see it happening in everyday life.

Even his Democratic opponents in Congress seem to be middle-grounding their comments, like they're afraid of offending. It's pretty sad.

Spaz, That's strange. Here in Seattle people write letters to the editor complaining about Bushy and I hear it quite frequently if politics is brought up. Every single person I know that lives in this area can't stand Bush.I know there are people who love him, I just havn't met any. They [Bush lovers] do write in to the papers too,so I know they exist. We are known for our Liberalism here. Maybe that's why.although I don't feel you have to be Liberal to not like Bush

Well, they should see the tax cut as an insult to their intelligence.

At least the Democrats are alive in Oregon.

What's happening everywhere else?

I'm shocked that we don't have any posters here supporting him. At my favorite breakfast place, we talk politics all the time, and there are a good number of Bush supporters.

Hey, if you like the guy, Jump right in. I love a good debate. I promise I won't flame someone for supporting him.

I guess I don't really have to weigh in from the San Francsico Bay Area. Everyone knows how we feel...

Where I live I deal with dittoheads every day. I also post to a local web board where I am the only person that is not happy with the shrub. Everyone else in my area kiss's the hand (and rump) of Bush.

I've been told that since I don't approve of Bush I should refuse the tax rebate, or better yet give it to a Republican.

On the web board they've even gone so far as to bring in a "hired gun" to oppose my messages. (Why is it it takes so many Republicans to silence one Libertarian? <g>

I can't tell you how much the Round Table and the messages here means to me.

I really wonder if I live in CA or not wih the local attitude.
