From our local paper:

A Pittsburgh resident called 911 to report a cheetah roaming the streets. Their reply,
"You're hallucinating."

Turns out the "cheetah" was a neighbor's rare African Serval cat. All 42 pounds worth!!! It's the size of a German Shepard and apparently has the same markings as a cheetah.

Should you see Mr. Bigglesworth, don't be afraid. He thinks he is a house cat and has been declawed.

Oh, and he won't eat your cats or other household pets. Of course, I imagine Mr. Bigglesworth has never been really hungry before.

However, you may want to keep pet rats, pet squirrels and other pet rodents inside until the kitty can be located.

MEOW!!!

Or, would that be ROAR!!!

I once had a pet Ocelot that was almost that big and it was fun to walk him down the street. Dogs are not really that bright and they would just see him as another cat until they gained some perspective and realized that he was much bigger than they were used to in a kitty. You could usually tell when the moment struck because they would get all stiff legged and sort of freeze for a moment while trying to assimilate this new datum.
He had an endearing habit of jumping up on your shoulder and sprawling across like a cape. However he would do it sometimes when you had no idea he was coming to brace yourself so if you staggered to keep from being knocked over he would just hang on. He was NOT declawed you see so he could hang on real well.

OH NO! I'm not that far from Pittsburgh, huge cat-wise, and I have a farm swarming with tasty little bunny rabbits. I'd better be careful when I walk out to the mailbox for my ebay checks....

Psyllie,

If you see Mr. Bigglesworth, would you point him in the direction of Southcentral Pa.?

The durn bunnies keep eating my flowers.

Hello femme, anything new to report on Mr. Bigglesworth, the African serval cat...all 42 lbs of him...I guess he can sleep anywhere he wants to, but I'll bet he misses his regular meals. Who will be next?
Resembles a cheeta in appearance at first glance.
My, what big ears you have, puddy tat!

Now being used to breed with specially bred domestic cats to produce "Savannah" cats.

Hi Sulyn Sorry about that, I was having a terrible time with the photos and I guess I did eliminate the question about the car....let's both go to femme's other thread directed at the car and go from there.

No I don't know the kitty (African Serval) it is on a website dedicated to Savannah cats..a new breed crossing the domestic with the serval.
