Ok, I know there are MANY people in this forum who can help me, if they would be so kind as to do so. What Im looking for is a Persian scene. Either a Suleiman the Magnificent pic, or something that shows a Persian scene, with the mosque (sp?), or maybe sand with camels and date palms in the distance? Better yet, a great scene of a magic carpet flying thru the air. Anyone have a link where I can find something like that? Its for an art project.

Yes, he was the Turkish empire (ottoman). Persia (Iran) is in that vicinity...I guess what I meant to ask for is something SIMILAR..along those lines. I was thinking of the men with the cool hats, the magic carpet, etc.

The art project is centered around a Persian carpet and decorations/accessories. I do interior decorating, and a customer wants it Persian-ish, to blend with the carpet. So, getting the right items and style, I need to pick out a few things, or get an idea of the era and furnishings, i.e. mosaic walls, colors they used, large pillows and low couches and tables, walls draped with cloth and drapes of sheer materials, etc. ANd the art. If I can find the right painting, I can reproduce it (changing the scene a bit to suit the client's own personality).
You might find some help here, boy it gets really involved with all the different influences...good luck. Maybe someone else has a specific image that could help.

Hepburn, just curious have you been able to find anything you liked, design wise on the net? If not maybe a trip to the Library or a used book store would work better for you..just wondering?
