It's true. At a news conference earlier today, a reporter asked President Bush if he followed the months-long political debate at AuctionWatch, and if so, to what extent do the discussions influence national policy.
Bush conceded that while he cannot read all of the threads himself -- "the sheer volume of political discussions there is overwhelming," he commented -- he has appointed several staff members to keep him apprised of developments at the popular internet message board. As an example, he cited his dismay at learning just this morning that the poster named chococake had cast him in an unfavorable light. "This chococake wrote that I have beady close set eyes," the President said grimly. "And made reference to that little bird thing he does with his lips. I don't get it," Mr. Bush added, pursing his lips.
But returning to the question of whether the AuctionWatch threads are impacting national policy, the President replied, "Absolutely. How could I possibly turn a deaf ear to so many complaints lodged again and again and again by the same handful of people? All that huffin' and puffin' takes time and energy. Wouldn't want that energy to be wasted. Looking after the nation's energy resources is one of my duties as President."
The President explained that he and the online auction enthusiasts who frequent the AuctionWatch site have much in common, which makes it easier to incorporate their concerns into his daily decisions. "In my run for President, I 'auctioned off' the nations resources and services to the highest bidder. So I understand where these folks are coming from. Still haven't got the hang of sniping though," he chuckled.

A perfectly good piece of satire and parody and what do you people do? Sully it with little personal digs. For shame.

Spaz -
Mr. Bush - Well, now that I know you have your people read here (I understand you cannot do it yourself as you have a comprehension deficit) I will direct this post to them so that they can read it to you.
I know you shilled your own auction. That is against eBay rules and I will be contacting Safe Harbor.

Now that I know Mr Bush reads AW, I have a few suggestions for him. Since he is the Prez, he has the power to change the name of this forum. Here are some recommendations:
Behind the Bush (BTB)
In the Bush (ITB)
Gimme some Bush (GSB)
Bush Whacked (BW)
Trim the Bush (TIB)
Always Bush (AB)
Forever Bush (FB)

Ornamental Bush (OB)
Drought Tolerant Bush (DTB)

Nope, don't believe it.
I doubt the man even knows how to turn a computer on.
Besides, most of the activity here takes place during his afternoon nap and after his 10pm bedtime.

I finally heard from eBay Safe Harbor. They said there is nothing they could to have Bush Naru because the Supreme Court does not live in his home, and his back pocket doesn't count. They also said his brother Jebb is still under suspicion.
