Please list here donations to WTC disaster from leading US Companies. We all know that eBay has donated $1 million. I will update with UK donations when I know them. Guess they will beat the eBay $1 million. How many Brits died?

I have had a couple of thoughts that keep crossing my mind and I guess this is as good a place as any to ask:
Who will coordinate the dispersements of all these donations and funds that have been given and established?
I have no problem with giving, I have no problem with being asked to give, I think it is wonderful to see so many pull together for a common cause.....just wonder who gets to call the shots?????
Also, several people have mentioned here on RT (but it's mostly gone un-remarked upon) that it wasn't just Americans who died or have had their lives altered forever. Someone had a link to a site that showed all the countries in the world who have reported their citizens missing in the disasters.
What will be done for these people and their families?????
Do you think funds are being collected in their countries for them?????
Here's the link posted in the RT thread titled "How the rest of the world was affected":

Many thanks for your comments sulyn. We are well used to these situations, and there are UK support teams in NYC at present. The UK Government is paying all costs not met by insurance. How many Brits died?

You keep asking how many Brits died. If you're from Britian, wouldn't you know better than us?

I am sorry GreetingsfromUK,
Washington Post Friday, Sep 21, 01
3rd paragraph:
"Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife, Cherie, flew to New York today to visit and comfort dozens of Britons who are in New York, trying to account for their missing relatives. Of the 6,300 people listed as missing in the attack, 200 to 300 are believed to be from Britain, which is missing more citizens after the attack than any other foreign country....."

It was said after the first few days that there were sufficient blood donations. Despite the fact that life insurance policies do not pay in the event of war or terrorism is it possible that the same could happen with cash donations? It would be a nice gesture for some of this money to go to surviving spouses and/or the benefit of children. It is a fair question to ask who will determine the distribution of funds but I have not heard of one central clearinghouse so it may be a moot point. Some or all of the corporations may be earmarking all or some of their donation to a specific entity or purpose.

On NPR today it was said that they have so much blood now that they will have to give it for research. They said everyone forgot it only can be used in transfusions for [about] 42 days.
What they didn't say was they didn't find enough survivors to use it. [sad, sad unsmilie face goes here....]
The Salvation Army here in the DC area said they have so many donations that they had to ask people to quit bringing things like dog food, etc.
