Hi Everyone!
First off I'd like to Thank Everyone who responded to my last plea for help, ALL the info was very helpful!
What I'd like to know now,is has anyone gone to window's update, and downloaded Windows Media Player 7.1!
And what were the results: Did it work fine or did it present a big problem?
A few months back I downloaded Media player 7 and it killed my system. It would not let my CD/ROM operate!! I have a Compaq,
and I could not even run a total restore, because it would not let the CD/ROM run!
I want to try 7.1 but first I need to know that it is now working fine, Also I run Windows SE. I'd like to hear some input on this before I make another big mistake!!!
Thanks in advance! Charlie.

Sorry, can't answer your question but you should download goback. It's a program that partitions a part of your hard drive and saves every system change so that if you your computer somehow becomes messed up -- to the extent that you can literally delete Windows -- you can restore your computer to its working state. Worthwhile investment for the future.
