I was recently involved in a fraudulent transaction where myself, the buyer, sent a Paypal-verified seller $490.00 for a product. I have since not received the item I paid for, and I have a feeling that I never will.

First question: what do you think the possibility is that I can get my money back through the Paypal buyer complaint process? Keep in mind that this was not an eBay auction - this was done only through email correspondance.

Second question: After filing the buyer complain form, the next day I realized that the fraudulent transaction had been "reversed." This seemed odd to me because if the transaction had truly been reversed, wouldn't I have a $490.00 balance in my Paypal account? Also, the "reversal" transcation had only been for $475.49 and not for the total $490.
