I bought the new Snow White DVD this evening, and just finished watching both discs. What a treat!
If any of you are Disney fans, animation fans or just plain film fans, I highly recommend it. I got mine at Best Buy for their intro price special of $17.95, too. Not only does this DVD release have a newly restored print of the film (audio as well as picture), it also includes an in-depth look at the concept, artwork, characterization, and background info. There is also a game that can be played, two tours, deleted scenes, trailers from all the releases (except for the 70s, which is unavailable) and info on Disney's career.
This is about the best DVD I have ever purchased!!

Are there out-takes? I would love to see the out-takes from when Sneezy would be on one of his crazy drunken binges. I also heard that the evil Witch was horrible at memorizing her lines, and they had to put crib notes all over where she could see them. I imagine it was hard to write on an apple.

Well, there *are* out-takes--5 or 6 scenes that were edited from the film before release.
And the witch's voice was done by the same woman who did the queen--she simply took her teeth out to do it

Seems like a good time to ask...
Bunnicula,
Did you like "The Others?" I liked it. A ghost story for adults.
Anxiously awaiting Johnny Depp's (crazy for him) movie, "From Hell."

Femme: I LOVED "The Others"! So nice to see a film in this genre that isn't of the "slice-and-dice" school.
It will be interesting to see if the Depp Jack the ripper film will bring in any new angles.

I am eagerly awaiting Mel Gibson's new movie "We were soldiers once....".
My son, who has been reactivated into the military since 9-11, appears as an extra in that movie. He says he even appears in the trailer.
Not my name on ebay.

Bunnicula,
I had a private showing of "The Others." There wasn't another soul in the theater.
I couldn't decide where to sit.
