Well, we are Indians fans, but since they crapped out, I've transfered my affections to the Yankees. Not my husband though, so we'll be a divided house come the Series.
Oh yea...Go Browns! We beat Baltimore, which was the sweetest of the sweet. Looks like we finally got ourselves not only a football team, but a coach as well.
Meya, who still has nightmares over "red right 88".  If you have to ask what this means, you're not a Browns fan.

and we've been waiting on our Mariners to get to the series since? when did they *almost* make it before? '95? I believe they lost to the Indians that year. But close.
And weren't the M's voted best Ball Club of the year? Winning more away games than home games or something. They were GOOD this year.

One more thing, before I have to skeedaddle off....
I couldn't watch that last game when the Yankees scored 5, I left the room.
We were sitting here wondering, which one is the oldest. So I go to mlb.com, and for some reason thought Edgar Martinez was the oldest, he was born in 1964! Oh my God, now I totally forgot who the tall one is that has the 'buzz cut days' the one that looks like he could be in the NBA also sh!t what is his name... anyway, thought he was the oldest, but he was born in '63.
Ok, someone has to know more about these guys, most are pretty young, in their 20's.
My question is, maybe its a trivia question, but who is, (ok presently playing or retired)
who is/was the oldest MLB player to be actively playing? A friend told me they can play till they are 50, I didn't think so...

I don't follow baseball much anymore.
Who the heck are the Arizona Diamondbacks? Were they another team at one time?
I doubt if I'll watch the series, having no interest in either team. If I did, my motto, as always, "anyone but the Yankees."
And football, "anyone but the Cowboys."
But, I love New Yorkers and Texans.

I've been a Yanks fan since I was a kid, but I live out West now and have been following the D'backs too. Feel like I can't lose, let's see a good series!
Don't overlook Schilling, btw. He may be the Cy Young winner. Actually, they should make it a joint award this year, IMO, him and Big Unit sharing it.
