Alrighty then,KatyD has handed over the reins early so here is how it's going to be for the next twenty-four hours +.

I am a kind a gentle soul. The thing I hate the most in this life is conflict. Therefore you are all suspended for 24 hours. Starting now..............just kidding.Just a little moderators humor.

THE REAL RULES - SHORT AND SWEET
Whiners will be dealt with on a first come first - served basis.
Tattletales will be rewarded.
There are no favorites. [unless I say so…it will be on a case by case basis]
Kissing up is appreciated but will gain you nothing.
There is to be no dancing, kissing ,hugging [except for Antiquary],screaming, wailing, backbiting,or petty bickering.
No emotional outbursts.
Keep all the sappy crap to yourselves. I don't want to hear it.
The heavy use of smilies is encouraged.
No GIF is allowed to have a post all to itself- it must be accompanied by words.
For goodness sake people…no story threads!

As you can see these rules are going to be very easy to follow.

If you have a problem with my moderation you may email me directly at the following email address:

[email protected]

Please, just call me Goddess.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation. I know I can count on you all .[or count you all…whatever!!!]

One last thing. Brunch is to be served in the moderators corner tomorrow at 11:00 pacific time. Be sure and make something I like [I prefer my eggs over easy]and have lots of hot coffee waiting for me. I get real crabby without my coffee.

Godless,

Welcome as our new moderator. I hope you enjoy your brief tenure as much as we will.

Could you please clarify, if you're still here and reading the board, what you meant by this rule:

"For goodness sake people…no story threads! "

Does "story threads" mean a thread in which different people relate individual stories or one which begins a story and then posters add episodes to it until everybody just quits?

TIA

Thank you ,Antiquery, for that nice friendly welcome.

The later story type you suggest is the story type that I refer to in THE RULES.
Thank you so much for asking for clarification of THE RULES.

I hope all the posters will be as helpful as you.

Egads these people are dense!

You're welcome, Goddest, and thank you for that clear answer. That will save us all a good deal of anguish tomorrow.

While you are, amazingly, still here, I have just one other minor question for you. Exactly what, in your immoderable opinion, would constitute the "heavy" use of similies that you so freely encourage? Could you give us an exact number and do they have to occur in a single post, or thread, or can they be spread throughout the posting on a given day?

TIA

No GIF is allowed to have a post all to itself- it must be accompanied by words.

Pondering: Is BU-CAWK! a word?

Well,KRS, you have come decidedly close to a moderation call. Your use of the "Bu-Cawk" is all that has saved you. Please do try to be more careful in the future. Follow THE RULES and things will go just fine.

Thank you again for your co-operation. I know I can count on you.

Twinsoft. There is no smoking in the vicintity of the Goddess. Put the thing out or take it outside. Thank you for your co-operation. And do try to control yourself. You appear to be on the verge of an emotional outburst. Please review THE RULES.

You look like a fine bunch to me.

As usual, Stockticker is correct, Bu-cawk, whatever the hell that is, is not a word.

Stockticker, Please see my previous post.

Antiqeery, thank you for your additional questioning. Of course I mean that you may use them AT WILL. No number is too high. You may intersperse them in each and every post. I encourage you to use them often and freely.

Is the rule about no pets still in force, Godfrey? If so, I see two violations already in this thread.

No, Antiquoon, I enjoy pets. Not quite in that way but enjoy them I do.

Now. Please ~ stop asking so many questions and go about your business.

KRS, perhaps you did not understand. Each GIF must be accompanied by words.

For instance, those GIFs could be accompanied by "Dancing Giraffe Pants" or some such thing. Please edit your post or you may put yourself in danger of moderation.

I can only be nice for so long you know.

Miss Goddess, I will be contacting your supervisor in the morning because you called me a funny name. Also, in your rules you stated no favorites. Then just because krs didn't put words with his gifs you changed your rule in your addendum concerning that. That's not fair, krs always gets his way!

I will also call the Medical Society because you are not a doctor and cannot prescribe medications.

[email protected]??? LOL

I can see you're not going to be doing any relaxed, hands-off type of moderating today, Rawbunzel. I better run away from home, now, early before you get here.....

Well, this is some of the best darned moderation I've seen in a long while. Since yesterday, as a matter of fact. Bunzey, you've got it down "pat," even the blatant favoritism thing. A hearty "pat" on the back. Keep it up, princess. I expect we can look forward to a bit of bunzey-jumping later this evening!

Twinsoft

Princess???What an ingratiating sumbitch.

Goddess???

Identity crisis abounds in this posting community where one individual may be thirty posters. Knowing that, you have joined the bandwagon to hell by stealing my identity. Everyone knows that Helen is the Goddess, worthy of reverence since the Battle of Troy.

I wake to find that you have adopted my name, "Goddess" as your own. But it is Helen who has lit the lamp of Auction Watch and spread light, beauty and wisdom to all.

Rawbunzil, although we share the beauty and good will that defines a Goddess, I do resent the fact that you have chosen the essence of my spirit as your name.

Helen
